New member of Staff

I am delighted to tell you that we have a new member of ordained staff at St Mary’s.   His name is Dmitry Lutsenko and he will begin at St Mary’s as soon as his DBS clearance is through.   Dmitry is married to Olya and they have two children, Olivia and Thomas.   This has all come rather suddenly and I was only able to tell PCC on Sunday 22nd December.   Dmitry will live in Hinckley and commute to St Mary’s.   You may have seen him and his family over the Christmas period but if not, you will soon get to know them.

Thank you

A big thank you to everyone who helped with services and church decorations over the Christmas period. Typically I forgot one thing with so much going on!  I should have given out the Follow the Star booklets which have readings for the 12 days of Christmas.  I am giving them out today in the hope that people can still follow the readings even if they are a bit late!
