Children’s Society

Many thanks to all box holders who kindly let me have them by bringing them to church. Amount collected was £846.79 which is £46 up on last year. My thanks also goes to my daughter and son in law as without their help I would not have been able to do the collection this year and they are willing to help in the future. Audrey Curtis

Bible Study Group

The Wednesday Bible Study group will meet again on Wednesday 15th January 2020 at 10.45am.All welcome.

Coffee Club

Coffee Club will meet again in the new year on Wednesday 8th January 2020.Price£1.Tea or Coffee. All welcome. This will be the last one before Christmas. We will begin again in the New Year.

Friendship Club

Meet in the church centre twice monthly. (on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month).They meet from 10-12 noon and all are welcome. Having now broken up for Christmas they meet again in the New Year on Thursday 9th January 2020.

Christmas Hamper

We are now selling raffle tickets for a Christmas Hamper. Christmassy donations towards this would be most grateful - a list of suggested items is on the noticeboard. Please bring contributions in as soon as possible.

Mentoring Young People

If you would be interested in mentoring young people to help make positive life choices by receiving training on topics including Safeguarding and gangs and youth violence, please see the notice in the Church Centre and apply to the positive youth foundation who are seeking to help young people in positive ways. Training will be given (8 hours in total).

Christmas Card

Please remember to add your Christmas Card messages today. For a minimum donation of £2 you can add a message in our Christmas Card available on 22nd December. The point of the card is two fold; firstly to raise money for a local charity (this year Coventry Winter Night Shelter) and

secondly to save people from sending numerous cards to fellow parishioners.

Christmas Day Dinner

Walsgrave Baptist Church will again be organising a free Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day at 1pm for anyone who would like to go. Booking at info@wbchurch.co.uk or on 7661 2565 is essential though.

Christmas leaflet Delivery

If you are able to delivery some Christmas fliers around the parish advertising our services and those of Walsgrave Baptist Church please take a bundle from the table in the Centre.

Skittles Night

If you would like to join members of Walsgrave Baptist Church at a Skittles Night on Friday 21st February 2020 at Wolvey Bowling Club 7pm please contact Pete Gales at petegales1954@gmail.com to book your place. Tickets are £6 for fish + chips/chicken + chips/or veggie alternative.

Messy Christmas
