Bible Study Group
The Wednesday Bible Study group will meet again on Wednesday 4th December at 10.45am. All welcome.
Coffee Club will meet again on Wed 11th December.Price£1.Tea or Coffee. All welcome.
Meet in the church centre twice monthly. (on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month).They meet from 10-12 noon and all are welcome. They next meet on Thursday 5th December 2019.
Our Friendship Group will be holding their Christmas Meal on Thursday 5th December (a week earlier than usual because of the election).If you would like to join them for a three course Christmas meal please speak to Malcolm. The cost for non club members will be £8.
Thanks to all who contributed to the Chocolate Tombola organised by Matt White at his office for Children in Need. They raised £245.
We will be holding a Quiz Night on Friday 6th December. 7pm Sharp to start.£1.50 per person. Bring your own drinks. Pop the date in your diaries. These evenings are always enjoyable, so why not come along and join in the fun. All welcome.
Mentoring Young People
If you would be interested in mentoring young people to help make positive life choices by receiving training on topics including Safeguarding and gangs and youth violence, please see the notice in the Church Centre and apply to the positive youth foundation who are seeking to help young people in positive ways. Training will be given (8 hours in total).
We begin our annual Christmas Card messages today. For a minimum donation of £2 you can add a message in our Christmas Card available on 23rd December. The point of the card is two fold; firstly to raise money for a local charity (to be decided next week) and secondly to save people from sending numerous cards to fellow parishioners.
We shall also be selling raffle tickets for a Christmas Hamper from next week but would be grateful of Christmassy donations in the mean time. A list of suggested items is available soon. Please bring contributions in next week if possible.
Christmas Day Dinner
Walsgrave Baptist Church will again be organising a free Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day at 1pm for anyone who would like to go. Booking at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 7661 2565 is essential though.
Poppy Appeal - Royal British Legion
We have had a thank you card from the Royal British Region thanking us for the money collected in the Poppy Appeal.£74.05 was collected from St. Mary’s.
