Welcome Rota

A new rota is shortly being drawn up and it would be good to have some additional people involved. If there are sufficient numbers it is a duty every 2 months and you would work in pairs welcoming and giving books to the congregation. You could also be involved in taking the collection if you wished to. If you would like to join the team or find out more, please have a word with Barbara Hancox or Malcolm

Confirmation Classes

I am looking to start Confirmation Classes for both children and adults in September with a view to taking candidates to the Diocesan Confirmation Service at the Cathedral on Saturday 23rd November at 5pm.If you would like to be included in either class please speak to Malcolm over the coming weeks so that suitable times can be arranged for the preparation sessions.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Walsgrave Baptist Church and St Mary’s are organising a joint Macmillan Coffee morning on Saturday 28th September from 10am – 12.30pm to be held at the Baptist Church.  If you could bake or fake a cake (we have recipes if required) it would be much appreciated. Please add your name to the list on the noticeboard opposite the glass entrance door to Church. Help on the day in the kitchen would also be appreciated.  Jean Hudson

Bible Study Group

The Wednesday Bible Study group will recommence its meetings on Wednesday 11th September at 10.45am.More details about what we shall look at will follow next week.

Bereavement Point

Walsgrave Baptist Church in conjunction with University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire have set up a Bereavement Point.This happens every 4th Thursday of each month 7.30 - 9pm at Walsgrave Baptist Church. They are there to listen and offer hospitality to anyone who is affected by the death of a loved one and is coping with bereavement. It is a drop-in service and offers a confidential safe space for trained volunteers to listen to the thoughts, feelings, and needs of bereaved people. Coffee Club

The Coffee Club will meet again on Wednesday 4th September.Price£1.Tea or Coffee. All welcome. Come along and you might even get cake from time to time!

Friendship Club

Meet in the church centre twice monthly. (on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month).They meet from 10-12 noon and all are welcome. They next meet on Thursday 12th September 2019.

St Mary’s Luncheon Club

Do come along to St Mary’s Luncheon Club at 12 noon. For £4 you will receive an excellent meal. The next meal will be on Thurs 12th September.All welcome. Please let Malcolm know.
