It was announced recently that Claire is to be the next Rector at Stoke St Michael. However sad we may feel at Claire’s departure we are enormously happy for her and grateful for all that she has given to us over the past three years. Her last Sunday with us will be 23rd June and her Induction at Stoke on 8th July at 7.30pm.It would be good to have a large contingent from St Mary’s there to show both our support and appreciation for her ministry to us. Following the 10am service on 23rd June we will wish Claire well; please do come along.
It has been good to see Colin Gardner in church on Sunday these past two weeks. Today we welcome him back playing the organ. We are appreciative to Geoff Cowley who played at Easter and the last two weeks and particularly now to Colin as live music is so much more preferable to a tape!
Claire will lead a said service of communion on Thursday (Ascension Day) at 7.30 pm. Malcolm is away in Ely, taking part as an interviewer in a national selection process for ordination candidates.
The Coffee Club will meet again on Wednesday 29th May.Price£1.Tea or Coffee. All welcome. Come along and you might even get cake from time to time!
