Last week it was announced that Claire is to be the next Rector at Stoke St Michael. However sad we may feel at Claire’s departure we are enormously happy for her and grateful for all that she has given to us over the past three years. Her last Sunday with us will be 23rd June and her Induction at Stoke on 8th July at 7.30pm.It would be good to have a large contingent from St Mary’s there to show both our support and appreciation for her ministry to us.
A thank you
This is just to say "thank you" to St Mary's Church family for supporting me on my last time "up front" on Easter Sunday morning. So many of you have encouraged and supported me over the last 19 years as a Reader [Licensed Lay Minister]. I am particularly grateful to my "support group" of Malcolm Tyler, Margaret Davoll, Nickie Harwood and Margaret Oakley during 2 years of part-time study from 1998 to 2000, and for always being there for me since. And thanks too for the gift of Dartington wine glasses, engraved "I am always with you". May the Lord bless you all and keep you all. The Lord is Risen. Alleluia, Alleluia. Sue Morton
