Our volunteers for Church Cleaning have dwindled a little and it would be good if a few, preferably younger folk, could help out. Currently we ask people to spend about 1 hour cleaning the Church and Centre 6 times a year. Our oldest volunteer still helps out in his 80’s!It would be considerate all round if we could lower the average age. Please speak to Malcolm if you feel able to help out and he will tell you what needs to be done.
Starlight Express - Albany Theatre
Book now to see some of Coventry’s most talented children. YOG will be performing between 8th-12th May with Callum McArthur taking the lead role of Rusty. Tickets can be booked on line.
Readers & Intercessors
It is always good to welcome new readers & intercessors to our list but this time we need a new person to organise the rota as Janet Home wishes to stand down. The rota comes out 4 times a year and help can be provided for new volunteers. Please speak to Malcolm or Barbara Hancox if you feel able to help.
Can you help?
I am going to Zimbabwe between 3-13th May to do charity work in areas affected by Cyclone Idai. We are going out in person to ensure 100% of the donations go to the affected areas. There is food and clothes aid there but we are going to help rebuild homes, schools, water supplies, communities etc, longer term needs. My flight and expenses are self-funded, no donations go towards my trip, all go to charity work.Claire Butterworth-Stanley
