Welcome Rota

We are looking for new members to join our team, which has lost a few members recently. It is an involvement every 6 to 8 weeks greeting the congregation as they arrive, handing out the service books and putting them away after the service. Taking the collection can also form part of the role if you wish. If you think that you might be able to help, please have a word with Alison Liggins, Barbara Hancox, Malcolm.

Collections at Remembrance for Royal British Legion

You may be interested to know that £40,000 was collected in our area for poppies last year and £1 million in Warwickshire.Nationwide 79 million pin badges were sold.

Bible Study Group

The Wednesday Bible Study Group will meet again on Wednesday 27th February at 10.45am following the 10am Communion service.

Coffee Club

The Coffee Club will meet again on Wednesday 20th February.Price£1.Tea or Coffee.  All welcome.

Friendship Club

Meet in the church centre twice monthly. (on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month).They meet from 10-12 noon and all are welcome. They next meet on Thursday 28th February 2019.

St Mary’s Luncheon Club

Do come along to St Mary’s Luncheon Club at 12 noon. For £4 you will receive an excellent meal. The next meal will be on Thurs 28th Feb. All welcome. Please let Claire or Malcolm know.

Friday Prayer Group

The Friday Prayer Group will meet again on Friday 22nd February.  Sue Morton

Stewardship Recording

After many years acting as our Stewardship recorder and money counter, Jean Hudson, has decided to stand down after April. If anyone has the time and interest to take on this role could you please speak to Malcolm or Mervyn Hancox.

Charity Donations

Thank you to all those who made suggestions for charitable donations. We have received nine in all. Standing Committee will look at those in some detail and make a decision on what to recommend to PCC. The results will be published in the newsletter later on.

Annual Parochial Church Meetings

This year our Annual Parochial Church Meetings will be held on 7th April. This year is a complete revision of the electoral roll which means that a completely new roll is prepared so that everyone has to join again. More details will be published in due course but the revision will take place in mid February - mid March and new electoral roll forms will be given out next week.Would those who normally write reports for the APCM please start to think about them now and send them in to the office.

Palm Crosses

Please remember to bring in any Palm Crosses you may have .They will be used to provide the ash for the services on Ash Wednesday.

Lent Groups

This year we shall be looking at the ‘Reconciliation’, the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent book. Although it costs £9.99 full price, we can get it for £8 until the end of February. Please sign up if you would like a copy. We shall have one group on Wednesdays after the 10am service and an evening group, day to be decided.
