Welcome Rota

We are looking for new members to join our team, which has lost a few members recently. It is an involvement every 6 to 8 weeks greeting the congregation as they arrive, handing out the service books and putting them away after the service. Taking the collection can also form part of the role if you wish. If you think that you might be able to help, please have a word with Alison Liggins, Barbara Hancox, Malcolm.

Junior Church

We are blessed to have so many children here at Walsgrave, this however means that we need more hands on deck on a Sunday morning, so it is not the same people each week. Could you please pray for our children’s work and discern whether this is something that you could help with. If yes could you talk to Malcolm or Claire after the service.

Charity Donations

PCC have budgeted to make donations of £2,500 this year from giving and would be grateful to receive nominations for charities they might support from you. We shall probably make 5 donations of £500 each. Please speak to Malcolm or Churchwardens with your suggestions.

Stewardship Recording

After many years acting as our Stewardship recorder and money counter, Jean Hudson, has decided to stand down after April. If anyone has the time and interest to take on this role could you please speak to Malcolm or Mervyn Hancox.

New Year’s Resolution

After my visit to a church in a neighbouring deanery last Sunday I have decided to make a New Year’s resolution, albeit somewhat late in the day. I found myself intensely irritated by people chattering during the reception of communion. When I commented upon this to my wife she told me I often comment to the person sitting next to me during the service, if not in the communion, so my resolution is to stop this. Please remind me if you see me do it!
