Church of England Children’s Society

Many thanks to all box holders.  Amount collected was £802.81 which is well up on last years total of £690.57.I still have boxes if anyone would like to have a box in their home. Audrey Curtis.

Welcome Rota

We are looking for new members to join our team, which has lost a few members recently. It is an involvement every 6 to 8 weeks greeting the congregation as they arrive, handing out the service books and putting them away after the service. Taking the collection can also form part of the role if you wish. If you think that you might be able to help, please have a word with Alison Liggins, Barbara Hancox, Malcolm.

Bible Study Group

The Wednesday Bible Study Group which was due to meet on 5th December will now not be taking place, however, we are trying to reschedule itfor 19th December at 10.45am.This will be confirmed nearer the time.

Coffee Club

The Coffee Club meets next on Wednesday 9th January.

Price £1.Tea or Coffee. All welcome.

Friendship Club

Meet in the church centre twice monthly. (on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month).They meet from 10-12 noon and all are welcome. They next meet on Thursday 10th January 2019.

St Mary’s Luncheon Club

Do come along to St Mary’s Luncheon Club at 12 noon. For £4 you will receive an excellent meal. The next meal will be on Thursday 10th January. All welcome. Please let Claire or Malcolm know.

Chrtistingles

This year it is our turn to host the Christingle Service and therefore to make the Christingles. I would like to do this on Saturday 22nd December at 9.45 am. Please come if you can to help.

Delivery of Cards

Please would you help with the delivery of publicity for Christmas Services. Bundles of postcards are available for delivery as soon as possible in the Centre. Roads to be covered are the Wigston Road side of Hinckley Road.

Junior Church

We are blessed to have so many children here at Walsgrave, this however means that we need more hands on deck on a Sunday morning, so it is not the same people each week. Could you please pray for our children’s work and discern whether this is something that you could help with. If yes could you talk to Malcolm or Claire after the service.

Christmas Card

Today is the last chance to add your Christmas Message towards our Annual Christmas card. Suggested donation £2.PCC have decided to support the local charity ‘Carriers of Hope’ this year. The card will be given out next Sunday.

Christmas Hamper

We would like to organise a Christmas Hamper again this year. Please could you bring in something appropriate to go in the Hamper (see list in the Centre for suggestions).We are now selling raffle tickets.(£1 each)

Charity Donations

PCC have budgeted to make donations of £2,500 this year from giving and would be grateful to receive nominations for charities they might support from you. We shall probably make 5 donations of £500 each. Please speak to Malcolm or Churchwardens with your suggestions.
