Third
Sunday
of Lent

Thought for the week:-

“We have God’s invitation to come and drink freely of his Spirit, but if we keep refusing his offer it will eventually be withdrawn.”

A warm welcome to you on this Third Sunday of Lent. Please do join us after the service to share in a cup of tea or coffee. All ages are welcome at St. Mary’s, children included. There is also a crèche in the Octagon for the very young if you need it. If this is your first time with us, please do fill in the slip at the end of the newsletter, so that we can keep in touch with you. St Mary’s is fitted with a hearing loop system. Members of the congregation who have a hearing aid with a ‘T’ switch will find that they can hear better when it is switched to ‘T’.

    Annual Reports
These are available today in preparation for our Annual Meeting on Sunday 21st March. Please take your copy. Also posted today are nomination forms for PCC membership and Churchwarden. Please do consider standing for the Church Council which is responsible for the day to day running of St Mary’s and needs your support!

    Taize Service
Taize Service with Brother Paulo (from Taize) and Bishop Christopher this week: Tuesday All Saints Bedworth, Wednesday All Saints Emscote, Warwick and Thursday Warwick University Chaplaincy. All at 7.30 pm. See Stella if interested in coming to experience the worship of God in this unique style. Open to all ages.

    Roof Appeal
Money is still coming in for the Roof Appeal. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in every way. I hope to be able to give a running total at the Annual Meeting but I am hoping that we will be able to meet the shortfall with the money that has come in and the tax we can reclaim on gift-aided donations.

    Coffee Club
The Coffee Club meets next on Wednesday 17th March at 10.45 am. Cost £1. All welcome
