| A warm welcome to you on this the Seventh
Sunday after Trinity. Please do join us after the service to share in
a cup of tea or coffee. All ages are welcome at St. Mary’s, children
included. There is also a crèche in the Octagon for the very young
if you need it. If this is your first time with us, please do fill in
the slip at the end of the newsletter, so that we can keep in touch with
you. St Mary’s is fitted with a hearing loop system. Members of
the congregation who have a hearing aid with a ‘T’ switch
will find that they can hear better when it is switched to ‘T’.

Walsgrave Summer Festival 12th July 2008 - 11.30 am
We will be having a Bottle Tombola stall at the event this year and would
be pleased if you can let us have any type of full bottles ( suitable
for both children and adults.) Can you please leave them in the boxes
by the prayer tree. Any problems, speak to Alison Liggins or Jean Hudson.
Malcolm also has some raffle tickets for this event. If you would like
some, please speak to him.
Jars!
Whilst I hate to think about the Christmas Fayre before the holiday
season starts, it is the time of year when I must make my usual request
for jars! So, can you please let me have jars of various sizes suitable
for jam and pickled onions Thank you very much. Jean Hudson
DVD’s
If you have any children’s DVD’s (not videos) suitable for
under 5’s, Butterflies could do with them. Please see Sheila Thistlewood
or Alison Liggins.
Cathedral Visits
The Cathedral have recently introduced a policy whereby visitors
are encouraged to make a donation to the upkeep of the building. However
they do not wish to stop congregation members visiting and have issued
passes to churches to enable us to visit without paying. If you would
like to use the passes at any time they are kept in the office. Please
ask Malcolm, Barbara or John to borrow them.
Also if you would like to do any voluntary work for the Cathedral (eg.
guiding, baking bread etc etc) please see the notice on the noticeboard.
Barnabas Fund - Office Co-ordinator
Barnabas Fund are looking for an Office Co-ordinator for their Midlands
Office based in Coventry. For more information and details please see
letter on notice board.
Stewardship
Thank you to those people who have responded to our recent Stewardship
Campaign. Sadly around 75% have not yet returned their forms to Jean Hudson.
It would be extremely helpful if you could make your response as soon
as possible by returning the green form in the envelope provided to Jean
Hudson.
It would be helpful if the form could be returned whatever your response.
As soon as we have sufficient responses, we will report on the results.

Post Communion Prayer: Lord God, whose Son is the true vine and the source
of life, ever giving himself that the world may live: may we so receive
