Newsletter - 30th March 2008

A warm welcome to you on this Second Sunday of Easter. Please do join us after the service to share in a cup of tea or coffee. All ages are welcome at St. Mary’s, children included. There is also a crèche in the Octagon for the very young if you need it. If this is your first time with us, please do fill in the slip at the end of the newsletter, so that we can keep in touch with you. St Mary’s is fitted with a hearing loop system. Members of the congregation who have a hearing aid with a ‘T’ switch will find that they can hear better when it is switched to ‘T’.

Owen Vigeon and Mike Wakeman
Many of you will be pleased to hear that Owen Vigeon is progressing well following his emergency dash to hospital a couple of weeks ago. He is still far from his normal self and may well be on the sick list for some time; please hold him and Sally in your prayers.
Mike Wakeman is looking much better and hopes his operation will be fairly soon now following his recent visit to the consultant.

Quiz Night
Advance notice that there will be a Quiz Night here on Friday 25th April. More details of timing and prices will follow shortly. Proceeds from the Quiz Night will go to the Refurbishment Fund.

Coffee Club
The Coffee Club dates for April are 2nd, 16th and 30th at 10.45 am. All welcome.

Annual Meeting
Because of the early date of Easter PCC have set the annual meeting for 20th April this year. We are revising the electoral roll during March (please see Sheila Wick for a form if you worship with us regularly and are not on the Electoral Roll).
