Newsletter - 24th Sept 2006

A warm welcome to you on this Fifteenth Sunday after Trinity. Please do join us after the service to share in a cup of tea or coffee. All ages are welcome at St. Mary’s, children included. There is also a crèche in the Octagon for the very young if you need it. If this is your first time with us, please do fill in the slip at the end of the newsletter, so that we can keep in touch with you. St Mary’s is fitted with a hearing loop system. Members of the congregation who have a hearing aid with a ‘T’ switch will find that they can hear better when it is switched to ‘T’.

The flowers in the Lady Chapel today are in memory of George McMurray.

Children’s Society Boxes
Once again it is time for the Children’s Society Boxes to be collected and counted. I would be most grateful if boxes can be brought to church throughout the month of October. Many thanks. Please note that I have recently moved address. Audrey Curtis

Update from USPG - Stephen Taylor
Please see Mission Board for the latest “Window” newsletter about Stephen Taylor in Brazil. After Stephen’s successful work in Rio, he has now moved to Salvador in the Diocese of Recife, Brazil. He is staying temporarily at the Franciscan House which is linked to one of the tourist churches at the centre of the city. The community serves several poor parishes and feeds around 100 people each day in its pastoral centre. Please continue to pray for Stephen’s ministry.
