Hundreds
of people enjoyed a three day charity event at St. Mary's church Walsgrave,
which included Fairtrade, Fashion and Children's entertainment. Hosted
by World Awareness Weekend, it also included contributions from Christian
Aid and Amnesty International. Organiser Karen Hauler-Davies said: "It was a fantastic weekend and we had a good crowd in. We wanted to do something in relation to these sort of international issues and people were able to see what we do and have a good time." The cash raised from the event was split between the organisations which attended. Entertainment included Pattisons Theatre Arts, Atomic Black Belt Acadamy a Magic Show, music from local bands and the Warwickshire Amateur Youth Orchestra. The Salvation Army gave an evening concert in the church. |
